Automatic vs Coin op Carwash

Tha automatic or drive through car was is pretty much $8.00 anywhere you go - and thats for the no wax, no tire dressing entry level wash. Audrey McVan stays dirty more than I would like. I noticed the coin op carwash and wondered if I would save any money. I have used the coin-op carwash many years ago. My memory's perception is that its a quarter eating machine and I get soaked. I figure if I can get my car presentable with five dollars worth of quarters then I will save about %37. my plan was to wet, soap, wet and wax. The machine says $2.50 yeah right. Watching the clock I was able to wet, and soap until right before time expired and I put in 50 cents more. I finished the soap and wet and started the wax. Right before time ran out I fed one more quarter to the machine and finished the wax. And I was relatively dry.
